Our Services

At Ascot Menopause Solutions we provide holistic advice and tailored support to help you choose the right evidence-based treatment to help you manage your menopause and perimenopause symptoms and protect your future health.

We follow the British Menopause Society (BMS) and the NICE guidelines for safe prescribing of HRT and non-hormonal alternatives for the management of perimenopause and menopause.

Before each appointment we will ask you to complete a short set of questions so we can assess your symptoms.

You will meet our menopause specialist to discuss your experience of the perimenopause or menopause and develop a personalised treatment plan together.

You will have an in-depth consultation covering your symptoms and your current health goals, touching upon all aspects of your lifestyle holistically.

You benefit from the current thinking on evidence-based HRT as well as non-hormonal options, supplements and lifestyle changes to help you to thrive.

We will review your HRT after three months of treatment, then annually.

You will have the opportunity to discuss how things are going since your previous appointment.

At your review the menopause specialist will monitor your symptoms, discuss dosage, treatment type and other products that may be necessary.

Testosterone add on

£100*

If you feel as if your oestrogen and progesterone are optimised but you are still struggling with symptoms, particularly loss of libido, then you may want to try testosterone.

GPs can be reluctant to prescribe testosterone, despite being in the NICE and BMS menopause guidelines as there is currently no licensed product.

Please be aware that to prescribe testosterone safely you will need to have a blood test before starting (baseline) and then a repeat blood test at three months to make sure your levels remain in the normal female range.

Blood tests

We offer a range of blood tests which will help your menopause specialist to understand your hormone levels and whether you have any additional clinical issues which may need investigation, or just for peace of mind on your general health.

Blood tests are not usually required before starting HRT, but if there could be other causes for your symptoms the menopause clinician may suggest a blood test. Blood tests will be required in order to safely prescribe testosterone as part of your HRT prescription.

We have pulled together the most commonly requested blood tests into specific panels for Ascot Menopause Solutions. We can order additional markers if you are interested in knowing your levels.
